Before You Start

Check the clearance between the garage door and the wall before installation.

If there is insufficient clearance to install the seal, the garage door tracks may require adjustment. We recommend this work be carried out by a qualified garage door technician.

Ensure the garage door is operating correctly before installation.
Installation
Step 1 – Measure
Measure the height and width of the garage opening.
If your opening is smaller than 3000mm High × 6000mm Wide, you will need to cut the aluminium carriers and brush inserts to suit.
Slide your bristle brush gently into the aluminium carrier on all lengths
Step 2 – Install the Side Seals
Install the left and right-side seals first. Measure the distance from the ground to under the lintel or header and add 50mm – this will give the top seal something to butt into
Cut your seal using a hack saw/angle grinder – try to keep the 2 factory edges in the middle
Mark out your holes to pilot drill (we recommend every 350 – 450mm) if fixing to brick make sure these holes line up with a solid brick. This can be done by sitting the seal against the bricks and visually checking the pilot hole lines up with a solid brick.

Place seal against the wall and line up the edge of the seal with the edge of the timber frame/brickwork. The bristle seal should angle into the opening (see picture below)
Starting with the centre – screw your seal to the wall. Work your way up and down until your seal is secured to the wall
Repeat this step on the other side
Step 3 – Install the Top Seals
To gain access to fixing the top seals you will need to disengage your motor in the up position and push the door back. We recommend holding it in place with a clamp or vice grips.
Important – if your door falls down from the top position when disengaged contact your local garage door tech and get the tension adjusted so the door stays up.
Install the two top carriers after the side seals have been fitted. Use the same process to pilot drill your holes and fix to wall
Remove clamps/vice grips and re-engage your motor. See your garage motor manual for more information
Secure each carrier with evenly spaced fixings.
Step 4 – Test the Door
Open and close the garage door several times.
Check that:
✔ Door operates smoothly
✔ Brush maintains even contact
✔ No excessive drag
✔ No visible gaps around the opening
Adjust the bottom of the track (11mm nut) in or out if it is too tight at the bottom
Installation Tips

Install the side seals before the top seals.

Fix into brick rather than mortar whenever possible.

A light brush contact provides the best seal.

Do not overtighten fixings.
Steel Lintel Installation
Where drilling into the lintel is not possible, use a high-strength structural double-sided tape suitable for metal surfaces.
Prepare the surface according to the tape manufacturer's instructions before installation.
